| Informatikzentrum Niedersachsen (The Lower Saxony Centre for Information Technology - IZN) has since 1997, been the systems base for information and communications technology in the federal state of Lower Saxony, Germany. The state organization has more than 300 staff and has an extensive portfolio of products and services. This includes a state-wide data network providing internal communication for a total of 35,000 staff as well as all information and communications technology services for the state's administrative offices. Naturally, the centre plays a strategic role in the state's rollout of e-government. |

| Security with Iomega Zip |
Major operations involve data being exchanged between the IZN head office and approximately 100 state administration offices. In order to safeguard this data, Iomega Zip drives were chosen. Zip disks transport sensitive data safely and reliably to wherever it is needed.
The Iomega solution was also the most cost-effective, convenient, time-efficient and flexible method; Floppy disks were too limited in capacity, tape and CD-RW drives were neither fast/reliable nor straightforward enough, and the Internet was ruled out for security reasons.
"We have not regretted our decision to use Zip drives and disks. Our experience of Iomega products since 1997 has been excellent and we haven't suffered any data loss. The failure rate of Zip disks is minimal," comments Eckhard Wähler, press spokesman of Informatikzentrum Niedersachsen.
